For 20 years, I built communications infrastructure for organizations like IBM, Cisco, and Bank of America — the kind of technology large companies take for granted. Somewhere along the way, I noticed small businesses never got access to any of it. A dentist, a contractor, a local retailer — still running on missed calls, manual scheduling, and disconnected systems. In 2008, I started Tapal Information Systems. In 2025, I founded SMBIZ and TapalVoIP to close that gap — bringing enterprise-grade AI voice agents, business VoIP, and automation to small businesses, without the enterprise price tag. I'm based in Houston, Texas, and I still do the work myself.
